I was just curious if there is a propper was to apply a scope letterbox to 16x9 footage filmed in squeeze mode or with the 16x9 adapter. (im just wondering if theres a way without completely destroying the aspect ratio)
Thanks.

I would look at Disjecta's thread for upressing located here: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=6843

If you apply the same process to ana/squeeze footage you should be able to get a similar result. Although of the top of my head Im not sure what you would need to crop initially to get get it at 2:35 before the upres process.

What NLE are you using? With FCP you can just drop it on like any other filter, no problem.

im using adobe premier 2.0. (pc) as for uprezzing with photozoom like ncje suggested, i would like to somehow avoid the .tiff photozoom process. I have photozoom but the project i want to do is pretty long. (much longer than 48seaconds)

I guess ignore what i said about shooting in squeeze mode, i basically want to shoot in 4:3 and apply a cinemascope letterbox in post.
