Application for converting frame rates from 59.94 to 23.976

I need to give some footage to a client that was shot on the 7Q at 59.94fps and they need 23.976.

I usually just change the frame rates in Premiere or AE if I edit the footage, but I have to pass on the footage this time and I'm hoping to not have to re-transcode just to get 23.976 since it becomes generational at that point.

Is there an application to do this? I haven't had to do this for a while and I can't remember what I used to use when I shot DSLR.

I can imagine over meta-settings its not possible without reencoding the ProRes files because the timecode and audio-sync. I would recommend to put the 59.94fps slowmoshots in to a separate folder and they can interpret the footage as 23.976fps in their NLE.

Gene I think you may be able to do this with Cinema tool or Apple compressor if I recall.

I'm sure I've used Apple compressor in the passed to conform on 720p 50fps to 720p 25fps it was almost instant as it would just change something in the file header or meta data to change the playback rate. This is when I used FCP7 i haven't needed to do this since moving to Premier.

Yep, Cinema Tool can do it, and it is instantaneous. It only conforms the frame rate in the metadata, no need to transcode or anything.

I also confirm that Cinema Tools can do this. Open the file then select "Conform" and choose the desired frame rate. Bear in mind your audio (if you have any) will then sound deep and slow!
