Apple's Distortion Field

Your link doesn't work.

BTW, did you see Apple's earnings report released yesterday?

wow.

It's interesting that less than one half of 1 percent have issues reported to Apple, and they can't make enough iPhones to sell to those who want them.

I love to be part of that reality distortion field.

I love to be part of that reality distortion field.

I'll have to second those sentiments. I'd love to own a company that produces a product which, despite HEAVY criticism by the media, goes on to contribute towards record earnings and continues to be sold out weeks after initial release.

Reebock shoes were like that. Everyone it seemed just had to have a pair. Even if it meant killing them and taking the shoes off their feet. Remember that era?

I remember a coworker wanting to buy a pair. I ask her why? She said something like "I just want them." Although they were good shoes I'll admit. Marketing though, lol.

Look at the figures for return of the iPhone 4, and the number of reports to AppleCare for the antenna issue.

one half of one percent.

A friend mentioned last night that while eating dinner locally, he tried repeatedly to cause signal drops with the death grip, and couldn't.

My view is the press is making more of this than exists.

Just my view.

And who doesn't have a protective case for a phone?

Really? I don't think I've read anything negative about it ever, except for antennagate. Everyone seems to love it other than that one issue.

The proximity sensor doesn't work properly for a lot of people leading to inadvertent pressing of buttons from one's cheek while talking on the phone. I say 'a lot of people' just because it's enough people that Apple has publicly acknowledged the problem and said they are working on a fix.

There were also reports of screens w/yellow spots on them but it turned out to be a non-issue as the spots were results of a bonding agent used during manufacturing that hadn't fully cured by the time the phone had shipped but the spots disappeared eventually on their own.

Does the new phone suck that bad ? I was wanting to buy one, but everyone I've asked hates it...

I love the phone... I posted in iPhone4 thread about the antenna "issue". Who have you asked that hates it? I've talked to a lot of people and the only people that hate it (a) don't have it and (b) already blindly hate apple

i have an iphone 4; no real antennagate problems, but im normally in areas where 3g is sketchy. no low quality/dropped calls, and i have yet to apply for the free bumper deal, which i probably wont considering rubber insulates, and i HATE fat/bulky phones or when they stick/grab in ones pocket due to rubber/silicone sleeves; i never had a cover, screen or body, on my 3G. i hold the iphone4 same as i did the iphone3G. havent tried the deathgrip but why the hell would i? all cell phones have an area the manual usually warns against buffering by holding; human flesh insulates rather well. i remember an older sonyericcson i had would not get a signal if i slid it sideways/open (S710) and held it a certain way; so i just didnt hold it like that.

im not a huge apple fan but i like the idiot proof nature of the phone (this coming from a winMob 5/6/6.x/7 ROM user/cooker) and that i dont have to constantly reset it. i have also a Tilt/Kaiser II and Tilt II for europe but i prefer the iphone3G/iphone4 overall. ease of use means a lot.
