FS5: Apple ProRes on a PC, Yet Not Export It

I read that Apple ProRes from the DF5 can be ingested and edited on a PC, but not exported. What exactly does that mean, please? I can edit it, but I cannot save it in any format? Could I save it in some kind of temporary format so I can work on it and eventually get it on a Mac machine and export it?

All that means is that Windows shouldn't be able to export back to ProRes. I say shouldn't because there are ways to do it, either with paid codecs or free software like Natron. The only reason you need a prores deliverable is if you're doing work for someone that requests it for whatever reason. You can export to whatever options your editing software of choice comes with, no problem. Usually you'll find h.264 as an option, which is great if your project is just going to the web.

Does that mean I can load the ProRes RAW into the PC via Adobe Premiere PRO CC and edit and see it ons screen? If I don't want to export it at this point, can I save whatever I am doing to edit more the next day and how?

No idea. I haven't touched Premiere in years. It was getting too buggy and unstable for me to rely on. ProRes is different than ProRes RAW too. ProRes has been around a long time and has almost universal support. ProRes RAW is very new and not many cameras support it, so most editors don't either yet. Yes, you can save just like you would a Microsoft Word document.

no. This has been asked and discussed before.
ProRes RAW works at the moment only with the latest version of FCPX
No Windows PC, no Premiere, no Resolve.

[don't shoot the messenger.]

EDIT
I just saw that you asked that before. What was not clear at the thread you opened first?
