Apple ignoring the GH1

Apple sells many Canon products but no Panasonic (go to the online store and search for both). Also canon has cooperated with Apple very closely in the past. Bummer for us GH1 Mac heads.

Bummer for Aperture users (like me), but Adobe Camera RAW works in AE, Premiere and Photoshop so it's not like a total wash. May finally have to take a serious look at Lightroom.

As a diehard Mac user since the mid '80's, I'll put a plug in for Lightroom. It is an incredible program and the community/user support for it is immense. I'm sure Aperture is a great program, but I made the call to use Lightroom on my Macs and have been extremely thrilled with what Lightroom does for my business.

Thanks for the good feedback, DHart. Will definitely be trying Lightroom since all I shoot now is RAW.

You can try Lightroom 3 beta for free until it comes out some time early next year.

I am an Aperture user and like the way it's library system works, and many other things about it.

But dang, Lightroom is quite a bit snapper, and supports GH1 RAW.

Apple is rumored to be coming out with a new version of Aperture early 2010. If it's really good, I might stick with Aperture, but if it's as underwhelming as the last round of Final Cut Studio updates were, I will make the switch to Lightroom.
