apocalypto

Notice no dialogue in the previews. Get the Mel hordes in the movie the first weekend, hopefully make enough dough the first weekend to cover costs. Let the movie fans find out the hard way that there is no english ala Gesha movie. Movie subsequently tanks.

Is it just me, or does the Mayan warrior on screen right (just to Mel's left) strike a strong resemblance to a certain Tim Roth?

Now how does a person find that? I stepped through it and saw it but even knowing it was there I missed it at normal speed. Is this like listening to records backwards? :)

Not sure. I got the hint from Ain't It Cool News. One of those film geeks found it. :) We are film geeks too, but we enjoy making films, not just talking about them. That's different. Right?

That's right. Apply a filter, start a render, visit DVX User, check the results. Tweak it, start a render, visit DVX User...

You should really try using Vegas...

It would be better if I could afford a G5 right now. But I'm working on a PowerBook G4 so I've kind of learned to live with the speed issue. Of course, we're just talking about some of the more processor intensive filters.

I had heard that he was in there somewhere but god that is hysterical.

And supposedly yes it is in Mayan or a similar dialect. Although I believe it is still spoken by some in the mountain regions so it doesn't make it a dead language like Aramaic. It's more along the lines of Quechua the Incan language still spoken in th Andes...and by my Abuelita actually.
