Aperature and exposure settings

In "real" video cameras it's common knowledge to avoid very small apertures whenever possible due to potential image degradation. I've always shot at f 5.6 or wider whenever possible to avoid a problem. How about on the GH1? I realize using a ND filter is the best bet to keep wider apertures, but what's the smallest aperture that's usable. I'm running the shutter speed at 1/60 (30p footage).

Thanks for any advice on this...

It's probably dependent on the lens. Some lenses exhibit some obvious colour fringing and other nasties as they're stopped down. It might be okay, given the right lens and and situation to shoot at f22.

For now I'm just shooting with the 14-140mm, but I have adapters for Olympus and Canon EF... I've got some very good "L" glass too, but have not tried them yet. Some of those older Olympus lenses are very nice...
