GH3 Anyone willing to make a GH3 measurement for me?

I am looking to get a GH4 and looking around at some rigging options. I recently came across this cage;

I got the clearance dimension for this cage from the company and if I could center the GH4 it will fit....However....the thread barrel on the GH3/4 is not centered. This means one side of the camera will be further out on one side than on the other once rigged in this cage.

Can someone please measure the distance from the Thread barrel at the bottom of the GH3 to both edges of the camera for me.

I dont think that cage is a good option. It's designed to sit in front of the camera body (as in the pictures) but then it makes accessing the focus ring hard as the side of the cage is in the way.

Good catch on the mounting position relative to the frame

My initial impression was that you could choose to mount the body in a more forward position provided the body fits cleanly in the opening. I will have to look into that more closely.

The reason I like this cage was due to the pre-mounted rosettes. I was looking at handle options which will only fit with a rosette attachment. I am now also checking out a Gini Rig Cage.

If anyone else has a measuring device of any kind your help would be appreciated, cheers
