Hey all,

shot a couple of footages over the weekend, currently thinking if the following grabs should be colour graded. Im open to any colour grading suggestions.

What mood are you going for? These images are almost monochromatic so layering over a gradient or solid color could enhance any number of looks you might want to go with.

Sunrise, Day for night, etc...

Just a few quick ideas and looks....

Lake, those look great. I'm particulary fond of the first one... then second, then third.

Yeah... what mood are you going for? is this for a short, or just a sequence of images?

Love the first and second shot. I personally like the colors as they are, looks slightly desaturated and faded, and sort of reminds of japanese films. Not all japanese films, but the colors do remind me of some in a way.

is footages a word? lol

Nah, it's just a term most of us (well at least where I'm based at) use lol.
All those looked great guys. I especially love the 2nd grab by Lake Film.

The location where I shot these was near a long stretch of beach which was where WWII Japanese soldiers killed the locals. When I got there, the weather was not ideal and I had to wait till I could bring out the camera. I shot these for a short documentary, not about WWII, but the location definitely inspired me to possibly revisit it for a WWII film if I'll ever be doing one lol.

Having said that, yea the desat morning look was what I'm after. I wanted to shoot at an earlier time for a more blu-ish sky and silhouetted foreground but the weather did not allow that. It did help with the dark clouds though.
