So I've currently got the 50 1.4, 28 1.8, 85 1.8 lenses but am considering grabbing the 50 1.2 for the extra colour rendition esp wide open.
I'm also then considering getting the 24-105 due to the IS, however I've noticed the omnipresent noise of the IS from a lot of videos.
I never use the camera's mic but I do like to put an external mic on the camera, say a Sennheiser MKE400 (the tiny shotgun) or a Zoom H1/H4N - both then feeding into the 5dmk2.
I was wondering if anyone has done this and if the IS is therefore not being heard, of it it's sufficiently loud to ruin the audio making it a solid no-go for on-camera audio, even if it's coming from an external mic.
