Anyone using Panasonic DMC FZ2500 for Pro video work?

After calculating what I'd get for selling my GH5 and accompanying 12-60mm kit lens I've determined that the savings isn't enough to justify going through the trouble of selling the GH5 and buying an FZ2500. So for now the GH5 stays with me. It's a beast anyway so I'm not out anything except a bit of cash. Now I've gotta get back to writing the where to begin, where to end, who's the main character documentary script!

I am a new owner of Fz2000. Not fully learned the complicated menu yet
Just want to follow this thread or anything to do with FZ2000,

i have been very pleased with my fz2500, both as a stills camera, a one-man-band interview camera and a back of the room long lens tool.

be well.

I'm interested in this camera for both filming and possibly also livestreaming events. I'd like to know about its low light capabilities as well as the "parfocal" lens. Yes, I know its not truly parfocal but from I've read it will hold focus on a slow zoom but not so much if a fast one. Marketing materials claim its good in low light but how good? How noisy? Your input please. Thanks!

Yes.

But with a small sensor, no ND, etc. The FZ2500 has a lot of big cam features, but for me, the big thing would be matching up to my 270, if possible.

Yes, a big big difference between the 1/2.3" and the 1" sensor!

Although the 60x zoom of the FZ80 would be nice.

But I'd much rather have a bigger and faster lens. I wish the FZ2500 had a faster lens itself, like the RX10mk2 has.

The battery life is better than expected. I recorded a 1.5 hr dance recital in 4K UHD 30P on about half a battery so it will be useful for events and it never over-heated (which is something I can't trust with Sony).

Panasonic is great for solid battery life and not overheating!
