FS7: anyone using color match palette combined with CineIE

I use the One Shot color chart by DSC labs and its been great to help quickly get multiple cameras to match.

Any color chart or even gray scale/white balance cards is better than none but there are some charts that work better for video. The DSC chroma du monde are awesome but expensive, I found the one shot to be great for me as I don't really do much grading but its great to have a reference for matching different formats or multiple cameras quickly.

Here are a couple of articles about the one shot by Art Adams who helped design it:

Note that both xrite color checkers and many of the the DSC charts including the one shot can be used with resolve for its automatic grading thing

I have not had great results with Davinci's auto "Color Match" function. However, the chart is hands-down the best way to match two dissimilar cameras.

Does Premiere Pro have something like this?

I love they way he used his chart in FCPX and it automatically matched it

I bought the chart and tried it. I definitely does something with the colors. It looks cool and it is fun to drag the frame-thing in Resolve to the chart and see the colors change. But it already gets difficult in setups that are not evenly lighted.

But as most of these things you have to learn how to work with it (which I didn't yet). And they never work as easy as they do in youtube films.

But I think the first steps to match different camera's are made easier with it.
