Anyone used C-Mount Lenses?

Are there any C-Mount lenses been used by users that cover the AF100 sensor? I am aware that they have a more vintage look with various characteristics, but wondered who has used them on a shoot?

Wouldn't most C mount lenses vignette on the M4/3 sensor? I know on the GH line you need to use the ETC mode which takes a smaller S16 size crop of the sensor. I'm not sure if the AF has this feature.

I have at least one C-mount lens that covers the sensor with minimal vignetting... I forget the brand. It's 25mm 1.4 with no iris. It's always at 1.4. Great "beauty shot" wide-ish lens. Will get back to you on brand.

I own many C-mount lenses and they were all made for 16mm film. Won't cover the m4/3 sensor which is approx. 2x the size. However, that doesn't mean some won't cover with an unintended image circle clearance, or perhaps were made for another application. I would venture to say covering m4/3 (and doing it well) would be a rarity, but my optics knowledge isn't terribly strong with C-mounts.

Sounds like you need to find a place with a painstakingly large inventory of C-mount lenses and an entire day of testing. :/

You are absolutely correct.

What I should have said was, based on my experience with nearly 30 different C-mount lenses designed specifically for 16mm film cameras, not super 16 or larger, my findings were that none of them cleanly covered the M4/3 sensor without using something like the ETC mode, which the AF100 lacks.

your mileage may vary.

I have the Cosmicar 22.5-90 television zoom which I use on a bmpcc. On my Af100, it vignettes pretty much all the way through the zoom range to a greater and lesser extent. Looks like there's full coverage when zoomed in at 90mm. Also, due to the large size and weight of the lens, I find it totally impractical to use on the Af100.
