Anyone use the A-Mount to E-Mount Speed Booster?

So, I'm switching out my main stills camera (and b-camera) from a 5d3 to an A7s to go along with my FS700. I still have a slew of canon glass along with the normal metabones EF adapter and the metabones EF speed booster that I'm going to keep (I also picked up the commlite adapter to use canon glass on the A7s w/o vignetting). However, to use the A7s as a normal day to day stills camera, having a few stills lenses that can autofocus is desirable. I'm a little underwhelmed by the native FE lens options (or at least their prices), so I'm looking to grab some a-mount lenses, and there are a lot of great deals on older Minolta lenses.

I have picked up the LA-EA4 (I am aware of the video limitation on the A7s and FS700) but was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Metabones A-Mount to E-Mount speed booster. I love my EF speed booster, and would love to do something similar with any A-mount glass I pick up to get an extra stop when using the FS700 (or A7s in crop mode) when shooting video. I might trade quite a bit of my canon glass in for native A mount glass if the speed booster was decent. Judging from the look of it, is the adapter mechanical only? (doesn't enable IS or aperture changes?)

If anyone has any experience with the Metabones (or cheaper alternative) speed booster for A-Mount, I would appreciate any insight! There was a short thread a while ago, but just checking back to see if anyone has used one.
