Anyone use Payoneer before?

I have someone I need to pay, an animator, and he wants Payoneer. Anyone use this before?

I asked if he would do Paypal and he said no. He said he could do a bank transfer but my bank charges $55 for that and that's almost a 1/4 of what I am paying for the small project.

I looked up some reviews and many people say it's a nightmare and/or fraudulent. I started signing up for it and one of the early on questions is they need my social security number. Call me paranoid, but I'm not a huge fan of handing that out.

Just tell him he needs to get PayPal or skip the job and look elsewhere. You're the customer, if he needs to work for that little he can switch to a reliable international standard.

Or better yet, ditch him, because anyone who insists on something like Payoneer given the reviews I see of it would raise some red flags. How do you know him, where did you find him, etc.?

Tread lightly, and if you work with him, I think it's fair to expect using a standard digital pay service.
