Anyone upgrade from 5d2 to 6d instead of 5d3?

I have a 5d mark 2. I'd love to upgrade to the 5d3, but I'm thinking about going to the 6d to save a little money. Anyone do this and have any regrets? The ISO is a the primary reason I'd like to upgrade which I know they are pretty much both the same. Also to have somewhat of continuous recording is another nice feature. I mostly shoot corporate/small business/events website videos.

I bought the 6D and have no regret. Same video as 5D 3 but worse moire and anti aliasing... which I don't run into a lot of problem with frankly.

For me, there's not a lot of difference between the video from the 5D2 and that from the 6D, whereas the 5D3 is head and shoulders above them both. Of course in RAW video, but also in H.264 to some extent. Obviously quite subjective...

If you want to use raw in the near future, the 6D using SD cards will not be a good choice, the 5D3 is a MUCH better choice for raw.

Heres a post when the 6d came out by planet5D comparing the 6d, 5d3, 5d2 looking at moire and aliasing.

The 5d3 is SO much better for wides than the 5d2 was, and I'd imagine that would be true re the 6d as well. Shoots stills faster and more easily too, though the quality difference up to about 1000iso is essentially equal.

If you ever want to shoot raw, get the mark III. The biggest issue on the 6d is that the lcd is not color accurate. So don't judge your white balance from what you see on the lcd. On the mark III, its very accurate.
