FS7: Anyone tested FS7 weather sealing yet?

Anyone got a chance (or accident :P) to test how good/bad this weather sealing is? I've noticed several weaker points that worry me (main one is a connection for XDCA extension and it's simple plastic cover - no seals in it).

Mines been abused in snow, rain, dust etc. Still working, but it's not like a fully sealed Canon 1D or 7D which you can safely leave out in any weather. As you point out there are weak points.

Regarding the FS7 and moisture...through the many years I've been a shooter, I have found Sony cameras to be pretty weather proof. The small Panasonic cameras have been problematic in damp situations, though the HDX900 was as good as a Betacam in weather.
The big culprit is humidity. That can cause condensation in the optics as well as the chip array. Condensation in the optics will eventually lead to mold building up inside the lens. Then it's to a lens company for an overhaul.
Condensation on the chip array needs to dried and perhaps wiped with a micro cloth. I think the actual chip surface has a glass protector. In any case a good quality rain cover is an important item for your kit, though if you are on tripod a garbage bag will be just fine. They just tend to be noisy.
I trick I learned covering hurricanes for the networks. Buy a bunch of those silicon caps, like the ones you see in food/medicine/vitamin,etc. packaging and tape them directly on the camera at strategic spots. You can get them at dive shops or order them online. Guess you could even save the ones you generally through away. Just store them in a baggie. They generally turn blue or maybe red when they have been moisture saturated.
I also mentioned a good quality rain cover. One that is made from breathable material is what I really mean because again, humidity is the real enemy here.

The area of the Fs7 that immediately gave me concern as to weather sealing is the door for the memory card compartment. There is no rubber seal on that little door. ( and the door easily pops open by accident, but that is another topic. )

Haven't paid much attention to Mr. Media Door. Guess if I were really concerned I would introduce Mr. Camera Tape to Mr. Camera and tape it shut. I'd use paper tape though.
