Anyone know minumum focusing distance?

I'm trying to determine what the "Macro" range is for the DVX . More especifically, how close can I get with the zoom at it's widest point.

I want to 'creep' along a a very close shot of a cable as it snakes along the floor and was trying to avoid lens attachments.

when zoomed out to full wide you can focus down to the surface of the lens!

Is tehre a focusing chart for the macro range?

Is tehre a focusing chart for the macro range?

I was wondering how people track/pull focus on close range shots

I'd agree with that. Using AF, I walked right up and stuck the camera up to a set of cuff links on a guys arm so that they virtually filled the screen and we could read the writing on them!

The DVX-100 already had the best MOD on the wide end, and with the 100A the MOD at full zoom is under 2 feet! Bloody amazing...

Re: Anyone know minumum focusing distance?

This is probably a silly question: Auto Focus on the the 100 (which is what i have, not the 100A) works even in the macro range?

Thanks for your input on this.
