Anyone know fix for aperture flicker?

Looking back over some 2.0.4 footage we shot awhile ago and the aperture flicker problem is prevalent. I believe most of the shots it's on are from the 50mm f/1.4 lens. I am working to remove this in post during color correction, but I would like to know how to avoid it on future shoots...anyone have any ideas? Is Canon ever going to fix this? This occurred in shots with no focus or light changes.

I have never heard of that being a camera issue.
Usually it is caused by:

1. A variable f stop lens
2. Auto ISO.
3. Shooting in a setting other than Manual

I have one of my youtube vids dedicated to this issue. It can be very annoying. At some point i'd like to get 100 lenses together and go through checking them all. Certainly this will be an issue if you use a zoom on a birger RED mount as well

I have not seen the problem with my canon lenses and I usually use Nikons or Zeiss F mounts so I wouldn't see it anyways. The only absolute current solution would be to not use the lenses in question.

As far as fixing it... best ask Canon but you could go back a firmware version and the problem wouldn't be present if you have to use your lens.

I have yet to test this on the 5D, but I'm positive this wont stop the iris chatter while zooming.
