I typed in production slate on ebay and only one came up out of 5 so what else could i type in to find it?

On eBay, try "scene slate" or "clapper." If you use the latter, make sure you're looking only in the cameras and photo section.

I have a question for you guys though. There're those ones with red LED timecode on the slate. What's the purpose for having a LED tc on the slate? Is there a clear advantage of that? Thanks.
