I want to buy a fisheye for my HPX170 and once again just looking at 2 brands and wondering if anyone knows anything about em..

I saw the guy jay rodriguez uses a century precision optics model # and his footage looks nice with hpx & Century model #CEHDFEADAG
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...ics_0HD_FEAD_AG_Fisheye_Adapter_Lens_for.html

$ 464.95

But others have mentioned a lower cost alternative ( yes, lower cost deserves some consideration in these rough times) Opteka 72mm 0.4x HD2 large element fisheye lens..
http://opteka.com/opteka72mm04xhd2largeelementfisheyelensforprofessionalvideocamcorders.aspx

$199.99

so my question is, has anyone used the opteka and does it give you a good look (no vignetting, etc) Has anyone used both and can say that the century brand deserves to be the choice even taking into account the over $250 price tag Or sh1t, does anyone have another brand they use that merits consideration??

if you have footage, link it and I'll check it out..

any help's appreciated.

PEACE!

hey appreciate it but I checked out those Xtreme fisheyes and I cant justify spending about as much as my camera on a fisheye.Thats just way too much. The century I linked to is one that seems to be pretty nice to get teh job done. I will mostly be doing hip hop style music videos,(ala jay rodriguez and his shots look pretty good to me with that cheaper brand century) I was just hoping that maybe I could get away with the opteka one (because I would save almost $300) and if anyone knew or had footage of it with an hpx.

but appreciate the info.

have you ever used them gibby? I mean, just "try cavision" doesn't help me dude. Thats why my title says "experienced" as in experienced users enter and give me some info.
