Anyone interested in Purchasing and Repairing a DVX?

Just got a call back from the repair shop and they think my DVX needs a new drum. I was quoted $450 for parts and another $450 for labor. I don't have nor do I want to spend that kind of money on repairs.

Anyone interested in taking it off my hands as a repair project? I would be willing to part with it for $900.00. I treated the camera well so I really don't see how it should need such drastic repairs, but thats what the Panasonic guy tells me.

I'm sure there is someone out there with the skills and access to parts that could fix the camera and take advantage of a deal like this.

I would ship it for free and along with the $90 KATA soft-shell case I purchased for it.

Any takers?

I can provide pictures of the camera and case or any other kind of verification you require.

It's a DVX-100A.

I will have it back from the repair shop hopefully by tomorrow and then I can send some pics.

I can also provide the serial number if needed.
