Hello.

i am making a documentary and i didn't get any shots as we passed through DC, we did a nonstop drive from miami to waaayy northern NY state and i could really use just a 60 second? clip of a shot out the window showing the sights that we didn't have even half an hour to stop and see as we wizzed through the city.

if anyone is in the dc area and they would be so kind as to volunteer to shoot it for me i'd love to hear from them.

on a dvx-100 would be best, f5 setting, native 16:9 widescreen (not with anamorphic) just plain old widescreen with the internal menu.

I have a DVX100 and live in the DC area. What do you need?

Also you said widescreen, do you mean 4x3 with the letterbox turned on? Let me know.

Re: Anyone in or near the DC area???

Hello thanks for the reply!

i am making a documentary of a friend who is in the circus, some performance stuff but mostly behind the scenes interviews of the performers daily lives.

i want to get across how we had to drive non-stop from miami to way upstate new york as he went from a 2 month gig in florida to a 4+ month gig in upstate new york and how we drove nonstop and couldn't even stop in dc for a couple of hours to see some sites

i am kicking myself for not getting the camera out in time to get even a basic shot of us driving by DC on the highway

the shot i would have liked was from the highway where you can clearly make out the washington monument and a few other landmarks, so i'd be thrilled to have anything like that, it would be extra great if it were shot from a moving vehicle so you get the sense that it was from a moving vehicle, if you could frame it so you can't actually see any of the vehicle that would be great otherwise it wouldn't match anything else that shows his truck.

i shot it using the default f5 setting

i was using the built "fake" letterbox with the black bars superimposed on the 4:3

No problem. When do you need this? Can you cover tape costs and shipping?

Re: Anyone in or near the DC area???

I'm also in the DC area and would be happy to do a few shots for you. It looks like daniel has things covered, but email me if you need some help.

Re: Anyone in or near the DC area???

sorry i haven't gotten back to you guys, i have been out of town...

i would absolutely cover tape/shipping cost!

i'd be thrilled at whatever i can get, the goal is something that is shot from a moving vehicle using a dvx-100 in f5 setting, showing the dc landmarks (whatever monument etc. just so that its something obviously DC) and it would be great if you couldn't see anything of the vehicle so it doesn't mis-match the vehicle in my footage

Matthew-- No problem, I'll try to shoot something Saturday morning--it should be a piece of cake.

F5, 16:9 mask, out the window view, whizzing past some monuments, no car included.
