Looking for a woman
i've been thinking of getting a 50 cc scooter to save money on gas. anyone here have one?

I am getting a 150cc one this summer, its enough to keep up with traffic on the roads I take to work and school and it gets about 90MPG

My grandma has one.

That's cold.

Uga -- depending on where you live from a traffic standpoint, a full-fledged cycle might be a safer bet. Still great mileage, but with a little more oomph to get around the crazy, non-bike-seeing drivers. Just a thought.

unfortunately i don't have the money for that. so i'll have to go with the grandma ride.

Yeah make sure it does the speed you need it to do otherwise you become a traffic hazard.

I dont drive one yet, but I am seriously considering selling a car to buy one, I cringe everytime I fill up my gas tank!

Same here - and I only drive a four cylinder. Looking forward to using my motorbike a lot when I get my license soon.

I use a Honda Wave 125. It's nothing to brag about but it takes you to where you need to go.

I drive a 110 cc enduro version of this. I love it! So damn effienct. Wear a helmet.

You can buy these brand new from honda in the Philippines for a thousand USD.

Wear a helmet.

Good one. :)

Yea, they are cheap. Got mine for about $950 brand new. One of our volunteers just got a Yamaha Step and paid about $800. Imagine if they were that cheap to buy in the US. There'd be plenty of parking and hardly no traffic. Of course the roads would be paved in blood, but that's what helmets are for.

That's very good advice.

Take a Motorcycle Safety Course (MSF) in your area. You'll thank me.

Spend the money to get GOOD protective gear, including jacket, helmet, boots and gloves.

I have a 7.5 mile ride to work (all back roads), so unless I'm hauling gear in the Forester or I'll usually take the 6 cylinder Valkyrie in:

Yes, my motorcycle has a bigger engine than my car.

I've been looking at 125cc scooters MINIMUM. Power is safety when it comes to cycles. You have to be able dodge the cagers.

Spend the money to get GOOD protective gear, including jacket, helmet, boots and gloves.

Consider an air vest or jacket - basically a rapid-inflating wearable airbag (a wearbag!) designed to inflate and cushion your impact, should you and your bike suddenly separate.

I picked up a Hit-Air vest about a year or so ago, and I don't ride without it. Chest , abdominal, lumbar, cervical and coccyx cushioning and support. If you're going to play in traffic, accept no substitutes.

If I can afford it, I'd like to get a Honda Ruckus.

The chicks like it. I'd be crazy not to get one! :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)
