FS7: Anyone having issues with Lexar XQD cards?

I bought four 64gb 1333x XQD cards off amazon. (As of this post I think here only $100 for a 64gb card!)

I formatted the cards in the FS7 and recorded several tests. Playback in the camera works just fine, even at 4k 60p.

The problem is that I can't get the cards to mount on any of my computers- I have a 15" MacBook Pro and a new-gen Mac Pro. Using both of Sony's card readers, I get nothing. Even in disk utility, I see nothing.

Does the the Sony card readers not recognize the Lexar cards? Do I need to buy Lexars card reader? I sure would like to use these cards someday. Wondering if anyone could shed some light on this.

maybe they're just bad cards...

The G-Series reader doesn't recognise anything but the G-series XQD cards - Sony OR Lexar.

My USB 3 Lexar Reader was £30 and reads ALL the cards from all manufacturers.

Where can I get an XQD reader? Lexar doesn't appear to have one on their website?

I'm using the Sony XQD Memory Card Reader (MRWE80) that is $36 on B&H and it works just fine with the two Lexar 64GB 1333x cards I have. I've copied the clips to both an iMac with the 5K display and my Windows desktop.

No issues with mine (1100 series) even with 4K. Some plastic is flaking off where you grab the card to slide it in and out, but otherwise, work perfectly.

Don't use the readers that come with the new G series Sony cards. Only Sony would make a brand new product that comes with a card reader that ONLY works for that single card series. Terrible idea.

Everybody is right about Sony readers. I just finished a job using a batch of different cards but started off with the high mbs Lexar and couldn't download them. I tried all three G-series readers and they never mounted. Then I used the aforementioned $36 Sony reader and bada bing, bada boom! Mount city. I tossed the G readers. They came with the cards but how silly to have a reader for only one series cards.
McFly?.
