Anyone have any luck with: FS700/7Q 4k raw/5D3 ML raw/resolve/fcpx Multicam sync

So, this is pretty specific. Im stuck a bit so reaching out to see if anyone has done this yet.

Basically I shot an interview on the 7Q with a 5D3 ML hacked raw as bcamera in MLV format (to have sound). I've exported prores versions from davinci (with manually synced sound) and am now in FCPX. I've tried to use the multi cam feature and told it to sync using the audio.... but instead of the expected behaviour, it syncs all clips all on top of each other... not actually using audio.

I know there are timecode issues and the 7Q and MLV won't work with this, but syncing via audio SHOULD be working in FCPX (as if i had done this with H.264/AVCHD mixed footage).

Anybody have any experience with this exact situation?

It took a while, and involves a fair number of steps, but I was able to get this stuff synced.

Basically, I synced each dng with its wav file in Resolve and exported to ProRes (for both the 7Q and 5D3 RAW footage).

This still had issues with the timecode, so after some digging, I came across this method:

It took a bunch of testing, but I was able to use the creation time from each WAV file to be the reference and then updated the timecode in the files.

I may absolutely be going about it in a much longer way than necessary, but this is what I was able to get working.
