GH3 Anyone happy users of Gh3 wifi monitoring?

Is anyone using the GH3 wifi monitoring function in the field already? Is it working as promised? This is one feature that made me pull the trigger and get a GH3. If you're wondering why I have to ask, my GH3 hasn't arrived yet.

I have an iPad, but for monitoring out in the boondocks I plan to buy a chinese android tablet which I hope will work (its cheap and wont be painful if it gets busted on location).

Yup, no monitoring while recording. On standby it works, but with a noticeable (and annoying) delay.

Honestly though, prepare yourself for disappointment: the Lumix Link app is a complete train wreck. Everything is super laggy, there are at ton of annoying bugs & glitches, and the interface is completely incomprehensible. Good idea in theory, but it seems like Panasonic put no effort at all in making the app.

(This is based on my experience with the iOS app. Maybe the Android one is better)
 
Pretty much like the ap for the GoPro series (I have both).

Probably has more to do with the technology than the implementation . . . although I'm not suggesting it couldn't be improved upon.

Yes, I dont think monitoring via wifi will be ever enabled, must be a hardware limitation (hope Im wrong in that)...same goes for Canon 6D...
