Anyone got side by side Varicam/HVX200 pics?

I've heard more than a few people talking about using the HVX200 as a B camera on Varicam shoots and trying to get the two to match up. I'm curious if anyone has some stills from such attempts. The only time I've seen the two together are from the initial shootout which, like most shoot outs, tends to bring out the worst in all cameras tested rather than the best by trying to make them perform in a simlar fashon.

I dont have any footage to post but I do this a lot. The HVX is not in the same class but is not offensive to cut into Vari footage. If you were in a 2 camera shoot I would not think about using a Vari and an HVX. The HVX is a great "b-roll" camera for a Vari project and can get you some shots you simply cannt get from a Vari.

All that said, when I shoot Vari, I really push it in acquisition to get the best picture possible and I generally use it with longer lenses and super wides. All those things are noted sore spots for the HVX....

Hi, David,
I am doing that, a split screen of my A/B footage was shown at the DGA Digital Day 2 weeks ago. Let me know where to send a jpeg...

Not to put too blatant a plug on it, but my Texas HD Shootout footage will have tons of side by side footage - hope to have off to replicator before end of month.

Good to hear Mike. To be totally honest, it's been so long since you did those tests I kind of figured we'd never see the final results. Glad to know they're still coming.

Talk to Shane Ross (he's a member here and a forum mod over at creativecow), he's doing an extensive project for the History Channel shooting on two VariCams and an HVX and intercutting all day long...

Hi All,

I'm not a long time member, but I have been lurking here for awhile. Been enjoying all the discussions and learning alot. I just wanted to ask Chris if he could send me some of his A/B footage as well.
