I'm swapping my DVX100 with burnt out firewire for my mates DVX100A with the PSD-NG error.

He's getting fed up of it cause the screen keeps shaking when he's trying to shoot.

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever fixed the error? I read it was a problem with the gyros for image stabilisation?

Any info would be great regarding this.

I had this problem and the first couple of techs I called gave me quotes from $800 to $1300 for lense assembly replacement. However, I found AVREPAIR.COM in Gainesville Florda and he said it was the cold solder points not the assembly. I sent the camera to him and he fixed it - $450.00 including the shipping. Also, I have heard that the problem can also be related to a ribbon cable being loose or defective. Best of Luck!

Thanks.

I fixed mine my self, it was a ribbon cable loose i think.

Since i've repaired it, it's been fine but time will tell i guess.
