Anyone encounter this problem on FS700 with 7Q?

I've been using the FS700 with the 7Q for about a month and a half and haven't encountered any problems until last week.

I was recording 4k Prores at 24p with microphone plugged into Input 2 of the FS700. Recorded about 21 files (some split because of the way 7Q limits files to 4GB)

File 19 has no sound but all the files before and after have sound and the director insists she heard sound on the headphones plugged into the 7Q while filming. We don't turn off or unplug the microphone between takes and the FS700 is providing phantom power so we're a little befuddled as to where the soundtrack went for that file. It's completely blank.

Has anyone seen this happen before on the 7Q or maybe the FS700 is glitchy with the phantom power?

Luckily I have the luxury of re-filming the section that is missing sound but I would like to avoid any such problem in future.

Does the footage have sound if you play it on O7Q? I've had issues with CD Prores transfer tool, copy pasting the files direct from the SSD is the way to go.

I checked with the director who has a direct copy of the SSD and there's no sound on the original split file.

Does your AVCHD files on your SD card have sound? You could use the sound of the AVCHD and re-sync it with your 4k O7Q files.
And then you'd also know where the problem comes from: XLR / Phantom power / Mic, or the O7Q.

Good idea Minh but the FS700 does not dual record when outputting RAW to an external recorder...I think the FS7 does.

Strange, I've just checked my FS700's SD card that I haven't touched since I started using the 7Q and it's blank. Is there a setting for dual recording?

Ah found the answer to my own question in the CD's documentation on setting up the FS700 for Raw. I shall definitely have dual recording on for all future shoots!

I always dual record on SD card.. I never had any serious problem with my 7Q, but you never know...
