Anyone care to recommend a good rain cover for the HMC40?

It works pretty well and fits very good.

Thanks - interesting. Do you remove the handle, or will that fit into the 'mic tube'?

The handle fits, but if you have the XLR adapter, I doubt that would.

does that cover fit loosely on the hmc40 or is it a pretty snug fit like the camera in the picture in the link you posted?

Here are three photos of a Kata RC-18 rain hood fitted on the HMC40. ( I'll probably add some sort of clip, or velco, to improve the front fit around the lens hood.) Note that this hood would not be suitable if you want to leave the handle on the camera.
