Anybody use drs on the af100?

Does DRS (dynamic range stretch) really work on the AF100 or is it a gimmick? Going to be shooting exteriors next week in bright sunlight. Unfortunately, I don't have time to do any tests. My biggest fear is that it will 'shift' perceptively like an auto-iris. Anybody have any experiences with this feature?

I use DRS on 1 almost all the time. It just ads a bit of gain to the shadows. 1 is very acceptable, 2 & 3 add too much noise and can look weird.

Yep, I'll use DRS 1 with BPRESS. Noise w/ DRS in Cinelike-D seems amplified, being as that's a noisy to begin with.

Thanks for the replies! I might just use it. I planned on stopping down to manage highlights, yet I didn't want to completely lose the shadows. Not too worried about noise; going to add some 'grain' effect in post anyway. Cheers!
