Any way to reset timecode on the P2

I've noticed that even if I dump the P2 contents or format the P2 card the timecode continues on. The only way I've been able to fix this is to maually set the timecode to 00:00:00, my question- is there any quick way to set the timecode to reset to zero after the contents are erased?
 
The timecode is kept by the camera, not by the cards. There is no "regen" mode (which is what tape uses, to restart at zero when inserting a new tape).

If you wanted timecode to start at zero, you'd have to go in and set the "TC PRESET" menu item to zero. You can do that with a button press on the inside of the LCD panel, the TC RESET button, but you have to be in the TC PRESET menu for it to work.
 
sorry to bring this back from the dead i've noticed the same thing. i just started using my P2 card. it's kinda weird looking in the display at the timecode showing 39 minutes and my P2 card time (84 minutes for 720p/24pn, 32gb card).
i should be able to remove the TC display right ?
