Any tips on getting the best image shooting 30p?

Hey,

I want to create a Teaser Trailer for a feature I am shooting next July 2007. I want to shoot it 29.97 frames per second progressive scan because I am limited to iMovie HD 6 (I don't have enough for Final Cut Studio). Any tips?

Is that possible? I thought you had to edit in whatever you shot it in?

24pN is supposed to be edited on a 29.97 timeline so you will be fine. It will retain the cadence of 24p.

You should edit 24pA on a 24p timeline. 24pN was designed to be edited on a standard 60i timeline. It's a nice feature they put in for people who don't have the option of a 24p timeline, yet still want the film look that shooting in 24p provides.
