Any suggestions on a solid compact tripod

If anybody has any experience on good compact travel tripods I would love to hear from you!

Something that can hold my d40+18-200mm VR zoom lens w/out falling over, lightweight, and can fit in a backpack. This would be for a snowboarding trip.

I was looking at the 'Manfrotto 718SHB DIGI Short Tripod By Bogen' but wasn't sure if the head could handle the weight.

Don't know about the legs for your use, but for a head, I've loved my Manfrotto 3055 ball head for a decade-plus. Never cleaned it, never fixed it, it's been all over North America and used on hundreds of commercial still shoots, and banged around to no end. I love how easy it is to frame something up with it. Funny, B&H doesn't list it any more, but other retailers carry it - about $120.00
