Any solutions to the horrible blue light clipping issue?

So far the A7S is my perfect camera for my wedding work, yet at receptions whenever a DJ has a bright LED light any shade of blue it pretty much destroys the footage. Has there been any acknowledgement of this issue by sony?

It's been much discussed on this forum and others.
A quick search brought forth many results, here are 4:

most threads offer the same solution. change kelvin to above 5000, shoot flat, try your best to grade in post.
blue clipping is a problem for virtually every sony sensor.

It is surprising that the big manufacturers haven't yet found a solution to the problem. I actually feel a bit guilty, as we do sound, lighting and video and sometimes we will be handling lighting and sound and the video element goes to somebody else. With this 'non-video' hat on, we are often not even aware that an event even has video, until after we have spent perhaps two days rigging and plotting a show, a video guy turns up last minute and as soon as we start is moaning about the blues and magentas.

I've said this before - but the problem for the video people is getting worse as the attractive price means more and more venues are equipping with LED as a replacement for tungsten. The lighting people can now light entire areas with bright saturated colour, and the fact the cameras can't deal with it is a bit of a disgrace. It's the kind of thing you would expect a preset to pop up and deal with. Blue is the natural colour of most of the LEDs, and the other colours are just done by coating with alternate phosphors - but this means the blue is very narrow band, and worse still actually shifts frequency between LED batches.

JVC seem to deal with it pretty well, so why is Sony lagging?

The issue is due to narrow frequency bands of light that go far outside the color spectrum that the camera is designed for. You will find this issue in their higher end cameras. Pumping up the color temperature is a sound solution, as well as placing additional filtration over it like the "Autumn Leaves" preset to knock down the blue.

Since you have access to this situation you can test out the settings in an exteme environment and report back adding knowledge to the information around the fix.

Sony just hasn't cracked the ol blue led nut....like every other camera company. Curious, is this the same on the FS7?
