Hey everyone, I am considering buying the GH2 off of ebay because I want one that is "Made in Japan". Does anyone know of any trustworthy japanese sellers on ebay that sell a japanese model GH2 that they bought from without any problems? Also, how hard is it to change the menu from japanese to english on a japanese model GH2? Thanks.

Is there a reason why you want a Japanese model? Some people think they might be built better, but others have their doubts. I don't think you can change the language menu if you buy a Japanese one - at least now without a hack.
 
are there GH2's with a "Made In Japan" at the bottom?

Thought someone said mostly GF's are japan made.
 
Having used a GH1 made in China and another made in Japan I can see I could tell no difference, either IQ or build quality - no experience with the GH2 though...

Does anyone know if Vitaly would tell me how to turn the japanese menu to english if I PM him? I think I read on another post on here where someone asked how to do that and Vitaly said he didn't want to tell that person how unless they are a senior member in case that person is working under cover for Panasonic. I do believe the japanese models are made better than the chinese models plus, they are more readily available right now, at least on ebay. I just want to make sure I can change the menu language to english before I go ahead and buy one. Vitaly, would you help me out with this?
 
I just realized I'm a senior member. My bad. I hacked my GH1 and turned it into a bad ass GH13 but, the GH2 is better in low light and that is what I mainly need it for.
