Any reason shutter speed would change the pulldown order on a 59.94 clip?

Tried my first slo-mo in my GH13 (using SH resolution at 59.94 fps) with IPowell's 24fps hack. But I got a very strange result when I imported the clip into Avid.

I've been finding Avid offers a great workflow for my GH13 footage so far. It re-wraps the progressive 23.98 AVCHD footage into DNxHD files, so I can edit them or colour correct in After Effects. However, having just created a 59.94 project in Avid, and imported my first 59.94 SH clip, the clip is stuttery and appears to have incorrect pulldown. It's like it plays in Avid as "two-frames-forward-one-frame-back."

Note that this AVCHD clip plays fine outside of Avid (no stutter) using VLC player. And Avid does not offer any options to changing pulldown in this project type.

I couldn't figure it out. So I did another test clip, this time remembering that some people suggest a 125 shutter when shooting slo mo. This time, it imports normally (smooth playback) in Avid. Could the shutter speed change anything like that?

Otherwise, perhaps there is just some corrupted field order in the first clip that Avid doesn't like--as I said it plays fine in VLC player before import, and only jerks around after import. The second test clip at 125 shutter is importing/playing fine in Avid. Hm....
