Looking for a place nearby (around North New Jersey but NOT NYC if it can be helped) where I can take my DVX heads to be cleaned. If there is no place nearby, how risky is it to send it cross country to get it cleaned?
I bought the cam off ebay with 118 hours on it- I do not know if it has ever been professionally cleaned. After reading through some threads here, I've gotten very paranoid about how long my head will last. generally, when would I have to get them replaced? After 1000 hours? 2000? It's hard because I'm very broke after buying the camera- I know it needs constant maintenance, but so does my wallet. How much will it generally cost?
And I'm letting my friend use it for a project before it gets cleaned, hopefully that won't cause too much wear to it.
