Any opinions on the SteddiePod

Hey Ikonic, I shoot with the Steddiepod all the time. DSLRs and HVX200's mostly. From what I can tell the form factor of the HVX200 is pretty close to that of the HMC150. I'll be honest, I was skeptical about the Steddiepod at first. It doesn't look like much really, but once you put it into action, I can honestly say it's saved my bacon a few times.

Setting it up is quick and easy. With the HMC150, you should be able to set it up in under 90 seconds. DSLRs are a bit tricky, figuring out the center of balance, and compensating for glass and such. But overall, it's very versatile. I've done action sequences, run and gun through a 'forest' at a film ranch, both Steady style, and low flow. Came out great. Got some interesting over head shots as well. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the HMC150 has a LANC connector. They have a LANC controller which comes in really handy.

Just my 2 thoughts.
