Any One with experience in using Sigma 30 1.4 E mount vs Sony 35 1.8?

I am looking to get one of these lenses - need it for low light work and was just wondering if anyone has used them on a FS700 - and what the results might be
thank you

Not entirely related, but I just got the Sony 35 f/1.8 OSS for use on a Sony a-series w/ gimbal... and at 4K it's killer sharp. The Xavc compression is softer way before the lens faults. I imagine it would be way sharper than a FS700 recording internal anyways. OSS works amazing to smooth out vibrations and bumps. One thing to check, is its totally electronic focus ring, which isn't very nice for pulling focus... but for set-it-and-forget-it scenarios, it's totally livable on a cheap lens like that. Plus it's lightening quick auto focus for photos on the a-series, which can be a bonus.

*It doesn't flare very easy, which I personally wish it did more, but stack a few filters on the front and you can help get more ;)

thank you - that is all good to know - from some of review I read it seems the Sony is sharper in some areas - and AF focus is better (although I do use manual most of the time) I just like the idea that the sigma would be a tad wider in respect to indoor shooting and faster - OSS for the Sony is also a plus

I have the Sigma and it's an amazing lens. I haven't used the Sony, but the Sigma is sharp and has fast AF as well. I use it wide open but some people may like to stop it down a bit.

I have the Sony 1.8 35mm and FS700R. I like it. Manual focus isn't as easy as id like due to electronic but it looks good and it's nice to have OSS and auto when needed

does the sigma work well in auto focus? Some reviews stated that it was not that good. What camera are you using the sigma on?
thanks
