Hey guys
Looking at getting something portable for a vacation to boston. I have a t2i but am thinking of picking up something like the GF2 or Olympus PEN or the new Sony... Just curious if any of these cameras (or any others that I have not mentioned and know nothing about) have 24p
thanks

jared - If 1080p is important to you, the S95 won't cut it. Its best resolution is 720p/24fps. But if you want 1080p/24fps and you're OK with a point-and-shoot, why not one of the new Canon ELPH cameras? The ELPH 300 is $230 and has a 24-120mm (35mm equivalent) zoom , while the ELPH 100 is $180 and has a 28-112mm zoom.

If you really want a micro 4/3rds camera with 1080p/24fos for a reasonable amount of money, the GH1 is your best bet (but they're selling out fast). It's pretty darned small with a pancake lens ($679 with the 20mm/f1.7, $640 with the 14mm/f2.5). Or you can still get them body-only for $399. The good thing about the GH1 option is that you can adapt your Canon lenses to it.

Cheers,

Bill

i just feel that the gh1 is not going to be much smaller than my t2i... i am trying to travel super light here but would still like some sort of interchangeable lens camera... so the gh series is really not being considered here for my needs... i will look at these others mentioned though- thanks

I own both, and as a size reference, the GH1 with the 20mm is a couple touches smaller than the T2i with no lens attached.

thanks for that input... i really like the size of the gf2... i think i might rather pass on the 24p for this vacation just to have the small size
