Any node editors out here?

Let me guess. The ones who are reading and use node editors won't reply anyways.

The rest don't use node editors becuase of traditional video editing. Like myself.

Well, I guess I'll be the first to bring it up.

So, what are the advantages?

Well, buy my DVD. Isn't that what I'm supposed to do now? haha.

I'm starting to get into NUKE which is node based. Strange at first but it's growing on me. I can really see the advantages over a layer based system like AE.

Mainly nodes are great for ogranizition within a comp. The organization part of things can really speed up a huge comp. 100's of nodes is way easier to deal with than 100's of layers. As for NUKE it has a powerful 3D system too!

You got it Josh. I wish someone had mentioned it earlier when I was starting.

For the thicker things, it's ideal. I'm just loving it.

I love shake compositing, for when I'm doing real compositing, which I do little of, but nodes are awesome. Lots of power in that framework.
