Any news about new rebates for HVX?

I read that some people thought the rebate would be extended. Some postulated that a new rebate would appear.

Anyone hear anything or is the rebate fairy all out of dust?

Come on people in the know, let us know.

I did not have the funds till nowish. I hope it is not too late for me.

There is only one person in the know, and that's Jan. Whatever gets announced will probably happen in the next few days, but consider there's a national holiday coming up tomorrow so maybe it'll be after then?

I seem to remember Jan posting earlier that if the rebate was extended, it would be the same package (battery, book, etc). Rebates are used to fluidly respond to the supply and demand of a product without having to raise and lower the list price. So think about the current situation. Demand exceeds supply for P2 cards and HVX's were in short supply over the last few months. It seems unlikely that we'll see P2 cards in the next rebate cycle, but I'd bet we see the battery offer (or equivalent) continued because Jan likes to add value to the USA product to discourage gray market sales.
