Any interest in anamorphic capable HDMI 1920x1080 monitor?

Hi,

I have a manufacturer building a prototype 10" monitor with a 540P panel (960x540). Specs are 1080P intput, 2x HDMI, 2X Sony battery sockets. Slightly better brightness/contrast than the lilliput 7".

The killer app for ISCORAMA folk: Variable anamorphic adapter compensation (1.33x, 1.5x and 2x)

Just wanting to judge interest from other 5D shooters. Anything important missing from this?

What you would be prepared to pay for a monitor with these features?

very interesting, just make sure to keep an eye on the competition at smallhd.com, they also have realtime anamorphic decompression.

Half 1080p, on both dimensions... interesting resolution... will it be high enough to pull focus with the same acuracy as the smallHD unit? If not, you need false colour edge detection in there.

Added feature I'd like to see: 1/4-20 sockets top botton, left and right, so you can accessorize with flexibility. 2x HDMI is unnecessary, I'd scrap the second port to save a buck. Adjustable BLACK bar overlays for aspect ratio cropping (not grey, not transparent... black). MATTE DISPLAY, please. unless you're going to include a simple matte conversion overlay sheet.

Also: it would be great to have the ability to zoom the display by 10% or so to crop out the letterboxing on the 7D/5D, top and bottom. Check the output on these cams to see what I mean.

Oh, and it should be transflective, weigh less than 2oz, have an integrated L-ion w/ solar charger... and retail for $199

;-)

Good luck!
Not more than $500
