I shot footage today in 1080 60i. The gig was for a final output in sd and the client wanted 60i footage but still wants the full hd resolution to play with framing before sd output. The footage is about 80 gigs when transcoded to prores. Is there anything I can do to get the file smaller while retaining the most quality. I was thinking of exporting in compressor but I'm not sure what the best setting would be for this type of job.? I am working on a mac with final cut studio 2. Thanks for any input.
