Any good Starter lighting kits

I'm trying to find a good starting light kit if at all possible to begin using. My budget is around the $400 range. (I know this isn't much considering how expensive lighting is) But I need to start somewhere. I've seen a couple of small kits on B&H and adorama, and found this kit on ebay.

I'm mostly wanting to use these lights to begin shooting some shorts.
Style: Dramatic mostly (But what kind of lights would be most versatile in types of scenes?)
Shooting with: Canon t2i
Budget: $400
Scenery: Mostly Indoor

I found this kit on ebay. Would this be something good to start with?

Thanks for your input guys!

I just posted a review for a $550 flolight kit - sort of a Kino knockoff. Price includes 3 twin biax fixtures, decent stands, bags.

You probably need to think about what sort of tungsten vs. daylight balance you want to your overall kit. I had a crazed love affair with tungsten film for quite some time and thus have a lot of hot lights - shooting with the T2i, I've been adding as much daylight stuff as I can afford.

EVERYONE will differ about the "first light kit" - if I was starting fresh with low budget today, I'd get a set of some kind of Biax flos, some decent spirals in china balls, and one or two 1 - 2k Fresnels used (which have enough power to add a full CTB and still get some useable light).

Lately I'm finding that softer open-faced stuff (flos or tungsten) have a lot more uses if you have a decent set of stands, clamps, and black flags (even foamcore). I'm reaching for the fresnels a lot less for dark/moody shots and trying to open the set up more for the Canon sensor, then crushing things up in post.
