Any Gamers?

wolf3d.exe was the best! It took a while for me to really understand the idea of using your right hand on the mouse to aim... Way after Quake...
 
oh I totally forgot about Quake... I need to stop reading this thread, I am going to be broke after buying all the games I miss playing...
 
quake is cool. i played all the old school good games....duke nukem, doom 3, half life 2, counter strike, bf 1942, bf2, the sims 2, max payne 1 and 2, madden football.... ok, so most of those aren't old school. eh, games keep me occupied, that's the important thing.

Games get me into alot of trouble, I played all the blizzard games, I was very obessive with starcraft & warcraft, then FINAL FANTASY online, it got so bad to the point where I would wake up just to play. Then I would play all day to the night. If there was such a thing as a gamealoholic.. I would be one. Finally.... I sold all my games .. I been clean for 10 months now. yea it was pretty sad...... the best game of all time was of course final fanasty 7, If they remake that on the PS3, I would definetly pick up gaming again.
 
Here's a grab from last night. The Yellow in the upper left is indicating my comrades who are being shelled by enemy arty (Artillery). I'm about 3/4 of a block down the watching bodies fly.

All of the names in Blue are my boys. Sucks to be them.

damn, i knew there would be other BF2 guys on here. any of you on any gaming ladders? my clan is on teamwarfare. we are still working out the kinks. my name is tus]=BIGUNS=-. yes my rank isn't high but it doesn't really matter because i'm the best commander to ever play the game.

I'm a COD addict.
I started playing pong. Yes- pong on the old Atari systems.
Used to go to the Arcades and drop quarters.
Then Nintendo THEN Nintendo 64 - WWF Wrestling still cracks me up to think about it.
Huge Marathon fan on the older Mac's. Castle Wolfenstein. Duke Nukem. Oh yeah.

No freakin way do I dare buy one of the new game systems. Xbox, Playstation2- you name it. Forget it. I'd never leave the house, and I'd never get any work done.

I was really enjoying Soldier Of Fortune II until I saw an add for Call Of Duty.
Insanely realistic and accurate. I can get a couple of games in before my 3 1/2 year old boy comes running down to my studio yelling "let me help!!!"
My wife believes TV=evil. Games=bad mojo. I dont want my kid addicted to games, looking like one of those legendary fat people waiting for the crane to lift them through the hole in the wall. Meanwhile, (sound of bottle being opened) I have another cold one, and some time. Hmmmm.....

I played COD (and the expansion) for a bit; but grew tired of the:

Manic Skull Fest's.....literally everyone running in circles on tiny maps just shooting and killin with ZERO strategy.

I'll say it again:

Forgotten Hope (A Battlefield 1942 Mod) and the coming Forgotten Hope 2 (A Battlefield 2 Mod). Realism at it's finest. None of this 'Emptying a clip' to kill someone; one shot and you die is typical with Fallen Hope; takes the Rambo out of the game and makes it real; think Americas Army but better graphics and gameplay
 
Manic skull fests sometimes do wonders to clear your mind in the most Buddhist of manners :grin:

I gotta check out the BF1942 mod you were talking about... Are people still playing it, or they all on BF2 now?
