Hopefully Jan is reading this one but anyone who bought the DVX right outta the gate could most likely field this one.

When the HVX comes out will there be any promotions going on, similar to what is going on with the DVX right now (free battery, tapes, DVX book)? Now I understand the current promotion for the DVX is so awesome because it's been out for some time but what about when it first came out? Any freebies? :). Not that I'm expecting P2 cards or anything but tapes (for SD) would be hunky doo.

Then again paying for the camera and getting the camera is fine by all means but the consumer whore in me just had to speak up :).

Nothin' free with my DVX -- got it January 2004. I feel like I got a good deal (New for $2750), but it would be nice to have a copy of Magic Bullet to play with.
 
new for 2750? nice man. I wonder if Staples could order one in for our store to do some promotional work. They probably have good enough business relations to get a wholesale price, after all they do sell panasonic phones so they have the number :). Then I could play around with it and make some commercials for them to show off on our projectors.

ha ha there you go. Too bad Panasonic Consumer and Panasonic Professional are totally different. Then again, Costco has them.
 
Costco has them? And to think I used to work for them... in the bakery... now dont you all go laughing at me because I was wearing an apron... and making pies...

Yeah -- it was on ebay (HAPPY ENDING HERE), and the seller was ZGC. I'm still not sure why they were selling them on there for that price, but it sure worked out nicely! I confirmed with ZGC that it was actually their auction... if it had been some random fool I would have never gone the ebay route.
