Any fix/mod for rec buttin lack of stiffness?

Finding the HMC150's rec button way to soft when using the cam hand held. I have double tapped the dang thing a few times when moving and almost lost out on good footage because of it.

Wondering if anyone has figured out a way to stiffen it? Under warranty so I'm probably hooped regardless, but I am curious as to a "fix".

I have had the same problem. I think it is further exasperated by the record button being tucked so close to the camera body. I have two workarounds:

1. I now ALWAYS watch for the Rec indicator in the view finder

2. I sometimes use a monopod and mount a remote record button on the monopod's shaft.
 
I try to keep my finger off the rec button when recording since it is pretty easy to accidentally press. Like videomaker says, I also make sure i see a REC in the viewfinder at all times.
 
Yeah, same but I find that when it is bright out and you have to move quickly, by the time you r eyes adjust to the viewfinder you may have missed several seconds of footage. Bad at a wedding or other live event!

Wish there was a way to fit a small o-ring in there to stiffen it up.
